We are Foodies! Our favorite thing to do is travel and go into a town and find the mom and pop, food loving entrepreneurs, whether at a farmers market, food truck or independent restaurant. The foods tell a story of the community and its people. Good food creates joy, feelings of being nourished, and experiences that call us back for more. And those are the things that create a solid foundation in a community and what promotes growth in our economy.
Being a food entrepreneur is not an easy task. You will test yourself to the utmost, but it is in those moments where you see you were able to portray exactly what you wanted your customer to experience, that you wouldn't trade it for anything else.
We have alway alayed being a food entrepreneur to raising a family. You will get broken and beaten, tired and pushed to your limits but it will bring you the greatest joys. It is said it takes a village to raise a child. We believe it takes a village to be a successful food entrepreneur as well. From the wisdom of those who have come before you, to the costs that threaten to overwhelm you, to the bureaucracy that can send your head spinning, and the collaboration of fellow businesses to grow together, there is no greater business to be in for us.
My greatest successes have come on the laurels that we rise by lifting others. And so we after years of saying it and knowing what we wanted to create in our community, we have found the most amazing collaborators to help build together the resources for food entrepreneurs to grow our local economy and give our community Good Food Experiences.
